Loukas Balokas & Georgia Priskou

We went hand by hand to our first tango class in 2000. Since then and until today we continue working together as a couple. After years of practicing and exploring both improvisation and choreography, we have developed a personal style, characterized by musicality, speed, alterations in the dynamic of the movement and intense dramatic elements. We love toying with the classical as well as the modern forms, mixing them. Our teaching is based on a clear understanding of the basic dancing elements, trying to provide our students with the necessary tools to create their own dance. Parts of our method are the profound analysis of body technique, the realization of tango structures and the connection of all above with the music. We are considered to be one of the couples mainly responsible for the distribution and establishment of the tango community around Greece. Georgia is also one of the first professional Greek tango DJs, still playing music in several milongas and festivals. For more than 10 years we teach in the major Greek cities,maintaining a regular student basis in their own tango studio, in Athens (Tangofix). At the same time we participate in important festivals in Europe and Asia.Every year we present our work in several workshops, inside and outside country, while we appear in many theaters, as members of different dancing companies. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TEACHING IN GREEK AND ENGLISH ONLY!!!
